First-Person, Second-Person, Third-Person

In this episode, I compare and contrast booktalks that use different points of view.  I discuss some pitfalls you might encounter, and tell you how to climb back out of them.  I share an anecdote about how my mind was opened to the possibilities of first-person booktalks by watching a fellow booktalker perform in front of a class.  And then I realize that I’ve made an oversight in my choice of booktalks so far, which I need to correct in NEXT week’s episode.  Oops!

Have any of you presented first-person or second-person booktalks before?  How was the experience for you, and for your audience?  What is your favorite kind of booktalk to present?
